ดังนั้นทางเลือกที่สามารถแก้ปัญหาดังกล่าวนี้ได้ดีกว่าคือ การติดตั้งอุปกรณ์ประหยัดพลังงานสำหรับเครื่องปรับอากาศ หรืออุปกรณ์ประหยัดค่าไฟแอร์ หรืออุปกรณ์ประหยัดแอร์ หรือ Air-conditioner Energy Saver หรือ Aircon Saver เป็นต้น อุปกรณ์ประหยัดพลังงานฯ ที่เหมาะสมที่สุดกับการใช้งานในประเทศไทยต้องเป็นอุปกรณ์ฯ ที่สามารถปรับอุณหภูมิห้องได้ตรงตามจริง และเป็นอุปกรณ์ฯ ที่ป้องกันผู้ใช้

The primary source of wasted energy for air conditioning comes from improper use; setting a temperature that the air conditioner cannot deliver and ensuring the compressor is on permanently. Therefore the obvious solution is to set a temperature that the air conditioner can deliver efficiently. However this turns out to be practically impossible due to popular misunderstanding by users about the capabilities of their AC.
Users understand an AC can deliver any temperature selected on its remote control. However in reality, AC installations are specified to deliver 25°C during peak load in the day time and 24°C at night.
